Student Visa UK
The Student visa category is for those international students who wish to study in the UK and have been offered a place on a course in the UK. A student visa is a point-based category and points are awarded for a Certificate of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and Funds for Maintenance.
This visa has replaced the Tier 4 (General) student visa.
You can apply for a student visa to study in the UK if you are 16 or over and you are from a country that's not in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland. If you are outside the UK, you can apply for entry clearance as a Student from your country of nationality by submitting an entry clearance application to the British Embassy or High Commission.
